The thing is, when I started playing in 2012 I joined the Spanish EU server to be able to play with This means you will play together with anyone from any server with in your region. Since you are both on EU servers you can play together in PvE and PvP. How ever you will not be able to play together in WvW. It can only happen if one of the servers are a link and the other a host then a few times a year you might end up on the same match for 2 Yes. There's no region lock unless you're in China. Megaserver is the Guild Wars 2's version of how both open world zones and instances exist and how they are populated. All players from the same region (North America, Europe, or China) are able to play together automatically, as they are placed into the same instance as everyone else in that region, until the game determines that the map is getting full, at which point it creates a new instance.
